We're still riding, with or with out Louis!  Come out for a nice ride through Buda almost to Kyle and back.  Pace will average 14-16mph and if you aren't sure if you ride at that pace, try a D-ride first., but plenty of places to boost the heart rate.  Regroup at the top of hills or turns.  Tacos afterwards?

The Figure 8 Of Pain And More
07/31 (Sat) 8:00am B-4 45 mi
A very hilly route to ensure lots of pain.  Start on 360, then do the Cuernavaca loop, followed by Lost Creek.  Lots of long 12%+ grades.  Those who want to can head back at this point and wrap up a 30 mile ride. Otherwise if you're feeling it, we continue onward and meander around, find various other hills to bring our legs pain.  B+/A- effort but average speeds won't be very high - probably 15-16mph.  Meet up in the gravel overflow parking lot across the street from the Bull Creek Park closest to 360 and Lakewood.
Start Location: Bull Creek Park Overflow Parking

West Side Hill Ride (route #2)
07/31 (Sat) 8:00am B-4 46 mi
Note: Route #2 has now been revised to avoid 2769, the north half of Bullick Hollow, and Anderson Mill.
Inspired by the Tour das Hugel, this ride series covers West Austin's abundant supply of steep hills. We generally average only 14-16mph due to the steep terrain, but these are solidly B-effort rides. We regroup at the top of the climbs. Route #2 features Mt. Bonnell, Mesa, Smokey Valley/Ladera Norte, Bluffstone/Bluegrass, Rain Creek, City Park, Big View, Bullick Hollow, Toro Canyon, and Harbor View.

Mr. Fancy Chef's Farm Ride
07/31 (Sat) 8:30am E-1 15 mi
Join ACA Ride Director and super fancy chef Greg Ritter for a ride to two of Austin's best farm offerings.  Greg got his Mr. Fancy Chef credentials while cooking at Wolfgang Puck's Postrio in San Francisco and has cemented his position as food nerd by teaching at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Austin for the past 8 years.

We'll start at the Peddler and then toddle over to Boggy Creek farm stand first. After we've gotten what we'd like there, we'll head down to the SFC's Downtown Farmers' Market. Feel free to ask me about ingredients and how to prepare them or just shoot the poop about food in general. After the Downtown market, we'll go to Juan Pelota's and enjoy fellowship with Eileen and Stephanie's MJ ride. The hosted part of the ride will officially end at the coffee shop as I like to chat for a while, but maps will be offered to anyone who wishes to head back to the Peddler before I'm done babbling. I usually head back toward the Peddler by noon.

Mozart's To The Veloway
08/07 (Sat) 8:00am B-4 50 mi
This is Misty Conn's ride, starting at Mozart's Coffee Shop on Lake Austin Blvd, going out to the Veloway.  Several hills, some memorable (Lost Creek, Barton Creek!).  Only one water stop, so bring lots.  Fairly intense; not recommended for the casual rider.  This is a challenging "B" ride for effort, though the hills will actually hold us to an average speed around 15 mph.
