Fun Size Traffic Skills 101 Mini Clinic Series
It’s hard to give up a Friday night to take a class isn’t it?
Well now you don’t have to. Come join us for a series of 5 mini-clinics that will cover the classroom material from Traffic Skills 101. Choose which topics interest you and skip the rest! Each session lasts about 45 minutes over a cup of coffee at Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop located at 400 Nueces St. We start at 8:30 so it's not too early and not too late.
After each session come ride with the Scout-A-Route hosted ride crew to put your new knowledge into practice exploring the City of Austin bike routes.
Here’s how it works – each session is $5 for ACA members / $10 for non-members payable in cash at the mini-clinic. Simple and easy - heck, you don’t even have to pre-register just show up!
If you know you’d like to take the entire series it's $25 for members. The non-member series fee is $50 and includes a 1-year ACA membership (tricky aren’t we?)
Can't make it to all the scheduled dates? We'll run another series soon and you can catch up then.
It's too wet to ride? We'll still run the mini-clinic. We may even string a couple together if folks want that second cup of coffee.
Are you ready to commit to the full 9-hour Traffic Skills 101 course? Register online and select the mini-clinic option for your classroom portion and a convenient Saturday option for the on-road session (must be after you complete all 5.) Don’t worry; if you are afraid of commitment you can complete the mini-clinic series and apply the $25 fee towards registration of the full course anytime during 2010.
Here's the Schedule – pay attention since we skip a couple random Saturdays
